3T Performance will be offering an option for team activities. Team activities will be done through using EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Activities) & Biofeedback. EAGALA will be used for groups to address team dynamics. A demonstration of ways to assist with performance recovery (regulating breathing, heart rate) will be demonstrated through the use of Biofeedback.
EAGALA stands for “Equine Assisted Growth and Learning.” EAGALA continues to gain research and positive outcomes for individuals, families, corporate groups, and teams of people working towards a common goal. During your teams’ EAGALA session, group dynamics will be identified and improved upon. Upon completion of this workshop, your team will come away with knowledge on how to more cohesively work together in a competitive environment. This workshop will take place in a pasture with a herd of horses, with an Equine professional and an EAGALA-certified Professional.
Biofeedback is the process of gaining greater awareness of many physiological functions primarily using instruments that provide information on the activity of those same systems, with a goal of being able to manipulate them at will. Some of the processes that can be controlled include muscle tone, heart rate, and pain perception. In biofeedback, you are connected to sensors that help you receive information (feedback) about your body (bio).
Biofeedback may be used to improve health, performance, and the physiological changes that often occur in conjunction with changes to thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Eventually, these changes may be maintained without the use of extra equipment.
